Social media is credited with having increased the pace at which crises develop, as recent examples such as the BP oil catastrophe illustrate. But can social media also be an opportunity to directly deal with a crisis and make sure its repercussions are diminished? Toyota‘s Colin Hensley shows how the car manufacturer handled a global recall and explains how social media played a role in the process.
