Direct interaction with employees is one of the great advantages of social media, but what are they doing in their spare time? What should they not be blogging about, which topics are off limits? Strict rules, or no rules? Is common sense enough? As social media guidelines go, Kodak is one of the classic benchmark examples and the company‘s guidelines have served as a base for many other organisations.
