Gerlinde Niehus is in charge of Nato's corporate communications for the Public Diplomacy Section, a position she has now held for two and a half years. Before this she was the Deputy Head of Planning and Publications at the Office of Information and Press at NATO, having joined the organisation after seven years at the European Commission as Head Info Office EU - NIS and Deputy Head Communications Unit, DG InfoSoc at the European Commission.
